Draw the ground the way it actually changes — a plan that re-inks itself over decades. You don't ink the hatch: you author a grammar mapping ground condition to a mark family (stipple, flick, cross-hatch, shore ticks, a mycelium web), then soil, water, drought, roots and time redraw the sheet year over year. The drawing becomes a diagram of process — pioneer flush gives way to canopy cross-hatch, a drought thins the whole plate, the riparian band pulses — and you plot it out as clean SVG linework.
